I’ve tried many devices over the years, but one thing I know for sure — a Windows tablet just isn’t for me.
On paper, it sounds perfect: the power of a PC with the portability of a tablet. But in reality, it’s a compromise that never truly satisfies either side. The interface feels caught between desktop and mobile, never fully optimized for touch, and never as smooth or responsive as iPadOS or Android.
Then there’s performance and battery life — Windows tablets tend to heat up, drain fast, and rely too heavily on updates that interrupt when you least expect them. They try to do everything, but end up doing nothing perfectly.
And let’s be honest: the app experience is outdated. Most apps are built for the desktop, not touch, which makes the tablet experience clunky and frustrating.
For me, tablets should feel light, instant, and intuitive — not like a laptop pretending to be one. So while I’ll happily use Windows on a PC, when it comes to tablets, I’ll pass.
