Traditional meter reading systems relied on manual data collection, which was inefficient, error-prone, and labor-intensive. A scalable, low-power, and long-range solution was needed to automate and optimize the meter tracking process, especially for remote and large-scale deployments.

Developed a LoRa-based smart meter tracking system that enables real-time, wireless data transmission from electricity and water meters to a centralized server. Utilizing LoRaWAN technology, the system ensures long-range, low-power communication, reducing the need for frequent manual inspections. The meters continuously transmit usage data to gateways, which relay it to cloud-based analytics platforms for processing and integration with billing systems. The solution supports remote monitoring, automated alerts for anomalies, and predictive maintenance insights. By eliminating manual readings, reducing energy consumption, and enhancing data accuracy, the LoRa-based system significantly improves operational efficiency, lowers costs, and provides seamless utility management for urban and rural deployments.
