Car Panel Label Rules

Doors (Passenger Doors)

  • The metallic part of the door below the window should be annotated.
  • F_door: Front door
  • R_door: Rear door

Door Window

  • Covers the glass pane and black rubber supports but not the car pillar.
  • Fd_window: Includes window and rubber support, excludes side mirror.
  • Rd_window: If split by thick carbon fiber, follow window edges and include rubber support.

Quarter Window

  • If separated by thick carbon fiber/metal, annotate it separately.
  • Label: quarter_window

Screen Pillar (A, B, C, D-Pillar)

  • Start from the external edge of the quarter window to the lower windshield edge.
  • Label: screen_pillar

Roof

  • Excludes roof rails and screen pillar.
  • Label: roof

Roof Rails

  • Follow edges of roof rails.
  • Label: roof_rails

Windshield

  • Includes wipers.
  • Label: windshield

Bonnet

  • Starts below the windshield and ends at the headlights.
  • Label: bonnet

Headlights & Fog Lights

  • Follow edges of headlights.
  • Label: head_light
  • If fog lights are present, use head_light with group ID

Front Bumper

  • Starts below the bonnet, does not include main headlights, includes grille and fog lights.
  • Label: bumper

Fender

  • Covers wheel well, from hood to door.
  • Label: fender

Quarter Panel

  • Located between rear bumper and rear door.
  • Label: quarter

Trunk

  • Excludes rear windshield and main taillights.
  • Label: trunk

Rear Windshield

  • Includes glass, rubber supports, and rear wiper.
  • Label: windshield

Rear Bumper

  • Starts from the bottom of the trunk.
  • Label: bumper

Alloy (Wheel Rim)

  • Circular outer part of the wheel.
  • Label: alloy

Sill (Rocker Panel)

  • Underneath doors, between front and rear wheels.
  • Label: sill

Foot Rest

  • If present, follow its edges.
  • Label: foot_rest

Bumper Guard

  • Aftermarket accessory to protect bumper.

Rules for Annotating Damages

  • Use a polygon to follow the actual damage shape.
  • If multiple damages exist in the same location, annotate all applicable labels.
  • If the damage is from a medium to extreme accident, only use the accident label.

Damage Types and Labels

  1. Dent – Visible depression due to impact.
  2. Scratch – Surface mark caused by a sharp object.
  3. Lamp Damage
    • Headlight_damage
    • Taillight_damage
    • Indicators_damage
  4. Panel Displaced – If panel gaps are larger than usual.
  5. Glass Impact – Cracks or broken glass.
  6. Accident – Damage from medium to heavy collision.
  7. Hole – Circular hole caused by sharp objects.
  8. Tear – Irregular-shaped hole.
  9. Abrasion – Surface scraping or rubbing.
  10. Paint Damage – Corrosion, peeling, or worn-out Teflon.
  11. Dust – Clay, mud, grease, or dust accumulation.
